We spend about one third of our entire life span sleeping. Getting a good night?s sleep is vital to our wellbeing, allowing us time to rest, recover and prepare our bodies for the day ahead. It is important to get enough sleep and even more important to get good quality sleep.
Our bodies have inherent sleep patterns connected to the natural cycle of the earth?s rotation: light and dark. Day and night. This circadian rhythm is what tells us when it?s time to get some sleep and when it?s time to wake up and face the day. However, as society evolved and technology progressed, it is harder and harder for our bodies to hear the earth?s natural signals of light and dark. There are too many street lights and tv screens emitting conflicting signals. So our sleep is restless and our energy levels are low.
